    Catwalk Event at KAA

    To raise awareness about Big Cat conservation, and to encourage everyone to get active, KAA students and staff participated in “Catwalk” event, 7km outdoor walk at the school’s track, on November 1, 2021.
  • KAA Varsity Volleyball Team

    Trophy awarded to KAA volleyball team

    Our varsity volleyball team achieved second place at the Oriole Classic Tournament! This is the first trophy for KAA since 2016. Congratulations to our players and the entire KAA family and community, a special congrats and thanks to coaching staff. The tournament MVP was Fairooz Lingga.

    Junior Sereen Haddad is one of 25 recipients of a 2021 Student Peace Award of Fairfax County. Sereen works to combat domestic violence, saying, “I believe that peace on earth begins at home.”

    An Amazing Victory at the Model United Nations (MUN)!

    Alexandria, Virginia. December 6/7, 2019 — 59 high school and middle school students (a record number) from the King Abdullah Academy (KAA) participated in the Thomas A. Edison Model United Nations (TAEMUN) Conference hosted by Edison High School.

    Junior Leadership Awards

    On Thursday, May 9th, two King Abdullah Academy juniors, Rasil Alamri and Ali Kabli, were honored by the University of Virginia and the College of William & Mary with awards in recognition of their innovation, leadership, and community service.

    Color of Justice Program

    Fairfax, Virginia. March 23, 2019 — The Fairfax Bar Association hosted a program called “The Color of Justice” today for interested middle and high school students. Approximately 108 students from Fairfax County participated, with 17 middle and high school students coming from the King Abdullah Academy.

    American Legion Oratorical Contest

    McLean, Virginia. December 9, 2018 — Post 270 of the American Legion hosted an Oratorical Contest on December 9th in McLean. Five high school students, including Jena Musmar, a sophomore from King Abdullah Academy, participated. In fact, about half of the audience consisted of students from the King Abdullah Academy.
