14 high school students participated, and 15 middle school students participated. represented our community with excellence at a recent Model United Nations (MUN) conference at Lightridge High School.
We are proud to announce that several of our students received public recognition for their outstanding performance:
Esaa and Musaa Sheikh (as a team) were awarded the "Peacebuilder Award," which is given to the top delegate at the conference. There is only one of these given. I've asked them to bring this award with them on Monday so we can recognize them during the morning assembly. They also won Honorable Delegation, representing France in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Rose Alnefisah won Honorable Delegate while representing King David in the Black Death Crisis Committee.
Jood Boker and Aminah Moustafa won verbal commendations representing the United States in the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
We are incredibly proud of all our students who participated and represented our school with integrity, intelligence, and leadership.
