  • What is King Abdullah Academy's entry-age requirement for admissions?

    The Admission policies of the King Abdullah Academy are intended to comply with the Legislative Code of Virginia, including the age guidelines for attendance in an educational program. Based on those standards, our requirements for admission to KAA are as follows: ​

    Kindergarten: A student entering Kindergarten must have turned five (5) years old on or before September 30th of that school year. ​
     
    First Grade: A student entering first grade must have turned six (6) years old on or before September 30th of that school year.
  • How do I apply for admissions at King Abdullah Academy?

    The first step is to submit an inquiry form, schedule a tour (optional), fill out the application and pay the $200 non-refundable registration fees (online). The admissions office will contact you to collect necessary documents and schedule a placement test and interview.
  •  When will I be notified about my child's admission decision? 

    Once you have completed the admissions process and uploaded all the required documents, you will receive a decision notification by email.
  • What placement test is administered to applicants?

    For kindergarten and first grade, a test in Math, English, and Arabic is required. For second through twelfth grade, an online NWEA/MAP Screening and WIDA test will be administered.  An Arabic test is also required.
  • What is involved in the acceptance process?

    All aspects of a student's file (school records, placement test, student interview) are carefully reviewed by the appropriate Admission Committee. An acceptance letter will then be sent followed by a contract that needs to be e-signed and submitted.
