The Development Team is working with a designer to develop the KAA uniform. This uniform will be created with the unique nature of KAA in mind and will be distinct and pleasant both to the eye and for students to wear. There will be both a Spring and Winter Uniform, along with a special sports uniform linked to our proposed sports program.
The uniform divisions are:
For the Girls Uniform there will be the option of a skirt or pants that might be worn seasonally or yearly. For the Boys Uniform there will be the option of pants and shirt that might be worn seasonally or yearly. These factors will be decided in the near future by our students and parents in an upcoming vote to be taken online at the Binumi site. A choice of three different designs will be offered. We hope to then incorporate the feedback that we receive into the final uniform choices for all students.
Stay tuned for the online voting soon!
The first of three open houses for prospective students brought families from all over Northern Virginia and beyond to tour the state-of-the art facilities. The event on Saturday, April 16, included a brief presentation by Chris Faisandier, Executive Principal, followed by tours of the campus. The event has generated much excitement for the opening of the school later this year. Two more open houses are planned for later this month for middle school and elementary school.
Mr Chris Faisandier, Executive Principal, recently hosted the fourth in a series of curriculum development workshops. The three-day session brought together curriculum experts who engaged current ISA faculty in discussions relating to curriculum development. Workshop participants included:
Dr Cindy Waddell, ISA Development team
Mrs Noura Harran, ISA Development team
Mrs Nijmeh Zayed, ISA Development team
